My Own Private Inaka.
Great day yesterday. Three lessons in the morning which went really well, then I did rice planting with all the students and teachers in a field behind the school. It was great fun. I did it last year too, and the kids seem to be so much more interested in talking to me when we're out of class. I guess it could be because they're more relaxed and maybe because I speak more Japanese out of class. In any case, it was really good (although standing in the mud feels really weird on your feet).
Now I'm going to tidy my place up a bit, then drive over to my friend's house, for a little party. Then tomorrow I'm going to climb Mt. Daisen (the tallest mountain in the area) and then come back for the after wedding party of one of my friends! Busy weekend eh?
