I don't think I've actually written anything of note here in a very long time, but seeing as how i've sketched just about everything I know how to draw and even those things I can't on my note pad, cleaned out my e-mail, reorganized the folders on my computer, read the news, checked the weather, messed with facebook, and done any other number of things one can find to do at work while still appearing to look busy, I've decided to write something here. At the very least, I appear to be typing something of some importance, only those of you who may at some point read this will know any better.
So to update on last yr or so starting last May (excluding some unhappy events)...
Graduated college
Turned 22
Went to Puerto Rico
Did a little life guarding
Moved into new apartment.: painted, bought new furniture, bought housewares, bought lots of stuff...
Started job at Deloitte
- spent 3 weeks in training
- first project in San Fran: coast to coast flying is exhausting; visted LA, Houston, Sacramento, Berkeley; make Gold status on Delta in record time
- second project in Charlotte: realized I need new winter wardrobe; learned to fear bed bugs and window AC units
- third and current project in Minneapolis: Minnesota accents are amusing; back to Houston for Dania's graduation
(yay!)
- lots of packing and unpacking, airports, and hotels
Christmas in Miami
Slept through New Year
Current news/events...
- Charles temporarily moved in with me (not like I live in my apartment anyway)
- Sister moved back to Georgia (big yay! it's only been about 9 years since we've lived in the same state...)
- joined the Deloitte soccer team...started working out in the mornings in an attempt to get into shape for this and in general (we'll see how long that lasts)
- Rice is back in the college world series
- I'm 23
- looking for a condo, summer work clothes, and a new swim suit
- wondering what my Dad is going to do with the bajillion tomatoes he's grown
- thinking about planning a vacation
- in need of a tan (flourescent light is so not flattering)
- missing my cat
Yeah, that's about it. My life's not too exciting. I spend my free time as I always have...sleeping or generally doing the most lazy thing I can find.
I'll post again some day...and at the current rate of this project and my level of boredom, that day will be tomorrow.
