People and Movies
Over the past couple of years I keep hearing people being unhappy with certain movies they go see. The usual reason is they expected more from the movie than it could deliver. So My tip; Keep your hopes High and your expectations easy.
I saw the Star Trek movie; Thank goodness I'm not an uber rabid fan I might have been annoyed, My expectations were that I would see ships that looked like the vintage enterprise, maybe get some interesting back stories from characters we've never known enough about, and see the new way they were going to interpret the various weapons and the transporter. I lucked out the story wasn't a rinse wash repeat or hey check the recycle bin for something we haven't used more then 5 times already. I was delighted and entertained the movie exceeded my expectations.
I am a tad concerned that Movies based on old TV favs keep being made, like they can't think of something original??? Speed Racer was a great success and it was purdy. I enjoyed Bewitched. The land of the lost...hmm Well my interest is peeked, it might be more difficult to make it more serious and I do have a weakness for Will Ferrell. We will see.
