We elected Deval as governor and he sure as hell wasn't going to do anything about the Turn Pike Authority. It was one of the reasons I didn't want him elected but since he was, tolls increased and looks like will continue to increase. I think I made a blog about it and warned people too. Good job Mass voters, why do we keep shooting ourselves in the foot?
If banks didn't lend money to lower income familes, they would be called racist and sued (since the majority of lower income familes are minorities) Like you said, that's why they had to give loans out to people who couldn't pay them. Once again the government is to blame so it's the governments job to bail them out. Otherwise they wouldn't have gotten into this mess.
It really does enrage me how much a toll collector makes. They do LESS work then a cashier at the supermarket and they get paid minium wage!! They have to bag groceries, scan food, scan coupons, deal with large sums of money, deal with credit cards, checks, debit cards. A toll collector takes a few bucks or change. WOW!! What a lot of work and skill! If a toll collector makes $70,000 a cashier at the supermarket should make well over $100,000 since they do 8 times the work. How it's legal is beyond me. It just goes to show how corrupt this state is. It's unbelievable. We don't even have flag men and instead pay police officers $50/hour.
Why do we still live here? You could sell your house in Revere and buy a brand new house with a 2 car garage and a nice big lawn somewhere else. We're kinda stupid...
