zombie walk brisbane 2008 - how i became a zombie
step 1:
pick your wounds. i found both at camelot on adelaide st for 3$ each. i decided i wanted to be wrecked on my left side so stuck broken knuckle and burnt cheek on. these were tattoos and had to be applied to clean skin so were put on first
step 2:
apply base makeup. MAKE SURE YOUR HAIR IS PINNED BACK. work this around the wound. do NOT put too much on otherwise you will be white as all high hell and look crap. trick is to moisturise like a bitch on heat first then add the paint, quickly, because it will dry, clump up and form a big mess. once you have it on you can blend it with water, put some water on a washer or sponge and rub on a bit, rub the rest in with your fingers and smooth everything out.
step 3:
apply to other exposed areas such as neck and chest. blend in the same manor.
step 4:
make sure it all looks good and let it dry before putting hair down otherwise your hair is going to turn white.
step 5:
apply eyeliner. you want hollow sunken eyes rotting eyes. lots of eyeliner. LOTS.
step 6:
apply eyeshadow. i use a mixture of dark purple, dark grey and green. use a flat brush and spread around. use different sizes to get a good effect.
step 7:
do makeup for other eye. extend eyeshadow to wound to promote bruising effect. at this stage i had purple lipstick on but it was kind of irrelevant for the next stage...
step 8:
BLOOD. add fake blood around tattoo wound especially if you are a munter like me and managed to get face paint on it. add blood wherever the hell you want. i added blood to my neck along with purple gray and green eyeshadow to make a wound. the blood on my chin was from a blood capsule. this is something you put in your mouth and it dissolves and froths up and pours out of your mouth. swirl it around otherwise it will only come out down the middle. ALSO DO THIS OVER A BASIN. it goes everywhere and so much will pour out!
step 9:
add alot more blood to be a trashy zombie. again with the left, my leg was "destroyed" (later on i sat down on the grass at roma st and it got all over the wound, this actually made it look better)
step 10:
turn somebody else into a zombie in your never ending quest for brains.
