New experiences...

For a while now I've been listening to my school's radio station in the mornings on the way to work. They play jazz and the like and about 7:40, the morning DJ has this little game where he plays 3 Sinatra songs and people call in to list the songs (but it has to be exactly what's on the record) and win CDs and prizes and such. Anyway, the morning DJ, Alan Rock, was plugging this thing he goes to the last Sunday of every month called Sunday Jazz. And today happened to be the last Sunday of the month, so I decided to go to see what it was like.

So I go, alone, not knowing what to expect. When I get there, I walk in and see a big room full of old people. Hello awkward. There's a cover; a $6 "donation." I had just gone to the ATM so I only had a 20 on me and when I went to pay the woman gave me this frustrated look.

I sit down and they start playing. It's local musicians just coming together to jam basically, but it was really pretty cool. I finally saw some younger people, this one kid who went up to play the drums and this saxaphone player who was kinda cute. So I had fun even if I felt a little out of place.
