Ron, I get to sound like a grown-up for a minute.. The worst part about growing up is realizing that things and people change, and there is nothing we can do, and sometimes, you just CAN'T go back to the way things were.. I know that moving back to Savannah is not going to be anything like it was before.. But, I know I'll be happier there.. The things that get us through life are the friends we associate with, and Ron, I am always there for you, because I see myself a lot in you.. And I want to be there for you forever.. I know sometimes it sucks to think that things just keep getting harder, but if we lean on the people that we trust, we don't have to get through the shit by ourselves.. and baby, i got you, and you got me.. and as long as we stick together, nothing can touch us! I love you, and can't wait to see you again..
Ron, Have you ever listened to Barbra Streisand's song "The Way We Were"? I think the movie (with Robert Redford) was the same title as the song. Very sad, as you can well imagine. Talking to an old flame (or even just seeing him) brings up a lot of memories and feelings. All that separation anxiety and the feelings of loss can be almost as strong as when it first happened. It's natural, because it's the emotional part of your brain where those memories are stored (it's almost right in the center of your brain). And I know it's cliche, but time does slowly heal the hurt. And be glad that Will is going to be back there for you soon. I'm just so happy springtime is just around the corner. Even in Kansas the tulips are starting to come up. --Ken
