Note to Microsoft: Eat a dick.
My Xbox red-ringed today. This will make THREE Xbox 360's I've had to send back for repair.
I downloaded my free game a few months ago (Undertow, which Microsoft made free for a while to atone or something), but that doesn't really feel like it's made up for 3 failed consoles. Each time I have to send one in, it takes 3-4 weeks to get back. They started putting 1-month Xbox Live vouchers in with the repaired consoles, so I'm not losing money that way, but... it's just ridiculous.
It hurts a lot right now because we're going into a major stretch of awesome releases. Fable II, Spider Man: Web of Shadows, and then MOTHER EFFING FALLOUT 3. Soon after -- Gears of War 2.
So, I'm looking at possibly not having an Xbox 360 for the release of Fallout 3 and Gears of War 2.
The horrible thing is that I'm considering going out and buying another Xbox 360, which only reinforces these idiotic business practices and the poor design of Microsoft's console. But what the hell am I supposed to do? The amount of anticipation waiting for my xbox to come back from repair while these new games are being released will very likely kill me. And that doesn't even take into account the time I just want to relax and play Rock Band.
