i noticed that very few kids (and virtually no adults) here seem to walk here - instead, it's not unusual to see five people on a motorbike - three on a bicycle... and most of the staff will wait 20 minutes for a moto (motorbike taxi) than walk a couple of kms ( Read more... )

We have the same issues with obesity in Scotland (as well as having the title as 'sick man of Europe' - woo hoo, it makes me proud). I find it odd that anyone would want to aspire to that!! But then the ad men don't tend to highlight those aspirations do they?

And yes, I'm not the healthiest either! :)

at least you can blame the crap weather for keeping kids indoors... while australia has it's environmentally crappy moments, the low fitness stats were based on a survey conducted in queensland!

no need for the nautical... my flat is in silom... near the skanky areas (naturally).

though i've been wanting to check out the BKK "rock club" for ages which is about 10 minutes away in a taxi if you're up for it... i think it'd be hilarious. :)
