Day Two of Eight completed. Food in my belly, a slight pain in my lower back, tiredness floating around like jetsam inside my skull. The problem with my shifts has been resolved and all signs point to America. Just need to get travel insurance and maybe some clothes shopping.
Kerry's air conditioning has broken down. A ballpark repair cost of $250. Money she doesn't really have. I offered to send her something, but she point blank refused. I don't mean this the way it sounds, but if she is unable to have it fixed inside two weeks, I'll be buying us a couple of big fans for the living room. Her bedroom has a lovely ceiling fan, but Katie and the cats are getting no relief in the other rooms. It's like 84degrees indoors or something. When I was there last summer, it was humid for 95% of the time I was there. I would have died without air conditioning. I guess I'm just used to the cold dampness of England.
