long time no post

been a bit since I've made a post with any substance so lemme see about fixing that.

Done a buncha stuff since last post. I jumped in the river a few times. Water was wet *shrug*.

I went to the exhibition with my wife and some of my siblings. Was good. One thing I really liked about the whole trip in general. When I was a little guy and my parents would bring us to the ex, dad would sometimes buy us souvlaki. We was always dirt poor so he'd buy one souvlaki and then give us a chunk or two each of the yummy meaty bits. It was always a highlight of the day for me. I'm a huge fan of burned animal bits and souvlaki is an especially yummy way to eat dead animal. So for my day at the Ex I just bought souvlaki whenever I felt like it. I ended up eating 4 or 5 all to myself (well I did give Sylina a piece of one when she asked. I ain't greedy :P ). It was sooo good. It was almost worth the rotting pork burps it caused the next morning. Mehh, you drink booze ya get a hangover, you eat a few pounds of pork ya get rotting pork burps. Ya take the good with the bad :)

In other big news, we had us some meetings yesterday. We went and met with 2 different banks to see if'n they'll give us a mortgage. We are both quite sick of renting. We have a one bedroom apartment in the worst area of town. When I moved in it was 300 bux a month. Then some other guy bought the place and it went to 350 a month. Then he put in a new washer and dryer that we didn't have to money in to use so he bumped rent to 370 a month. Then he decided we were not paying enough so it went to 420 a month. Shortly after that happened he gave us notice that it's going to 470 a month in November. It's getting redunkulus. Rent has gone up over 50% in the time I've been here and the only improvements that have been done are a new washer and dryer and a window in the bedroom. Hardly worth 170 bux. We went to TD Canada Trust and to Scotia Bank. The difference between the 2 banks was very noticeable. We chose these 2 banks because they both offer 100% mortgages and we ain't got no down payment. TD was very, what's the right word, business-like. Heard strange things from them. There's some thing where we would have to have $1500 in the bank with proof that it's there and not loaned to us. They are required to take the tax payments with the mortgage. It's against the law for us to have cosigners on a 100% mortgage that are not residents of the house we purchase. A lot of "do this or else" sorta rules. Scotia, on the other hand, felt like we were talking to some rich family member who was trying her best to find a way to help us get a house. She can't just give us the money, but she's trying her best to give it to us and ensure that we can pay it back to her. There was no mention of the $1500 that wed HAVE to have in the bank. When we mentioned our cosigners she said "Sure!" and wrote down their names in case we need them (oh, we will). We had the option of having the property taxes taken out with the mortgage payments. It wern't required. She showed us all the benefits of paying weekly or bi-weekly as opposed to monthly. Also she gave us all kindsa pamphlets with helpful tips on buying a house, told us that they can put us in touch with a good realtor tailored to our personalties and preferences, gave us the name of a good house inspector company (very important. Ask Travis), told us that they can get us a good lawyer for the legal fun bits. Told us to call her if we have any questions or need help with anything. She's all helpful and stuff. When we left TD they gave us 2 things to take home. A privacy agreement and some sorta questionnaire. Scotia gave us a big ole folder thingy full of stuff to help us buy a house and stuff. Definitely like Scotia better. I really hope we can get a mortgage from them.

Also yesterday I got me an email from mmorpg.com with an offer to try City of Heroes and City of Villains for 14 days. I been meaning to try that one for sometime now so I downloaded it yesterday, made a character, completed the tutorial and one other mission. Looks like a pretty neat game. For any of you who play it and wanna look me up, my character is a villain named The Dreglord. He's a lvl 3 magic mastermind and a real Bone Gnawer looking muthafuka. My minions are thugs. I whistle and some guy with a gun runs up and does my bidding. Is fun. I'm on Guardian server. See ya around.
