I fucking hate Live Journal sometimes, I wrote this whole long entry about the city and the stupid thing lost it and it is no longer there. I hate computers. Ok, back to where I was writting, yet I have to start at the damn begining again. GRRR! This is going to a very long entry just so you know.
OK, New York City, Thrusday August 19th 2004 - Doug picked me up at 8:45 we headed over to Ray's Bagels to get some food for the train ride in. We got an earlier train then we expected so we got to the city pretty early, hopped on the Subway and got to the Museum of Natural History, walked around the museum looking at the animals and what not. We got tickets for their Frog Exhibit, which was pretty cool, I think. They had live frogs on display, which was neat, got to see the frogs up close. I like the froggies, exspecially the posion dart ones that are so colorful and tiny, and yet they can kill 10 people. Powerful little things. We went to get something to eat in the cafe at the museum, then went to look at the rest of the displays, with the dinosaurs and marine animals. The Musuem was good, we were finally able to visit the whole thing without the power going out on us. We walked around Times Square and went into random shops to look at things, and just walked around. I was happy when we went to Applebee's eventho I wasn't hungry I just needed to sit down, my feet were killing me. After dinner we walked around looking for that arcade place that we went to last year on senior cut day, but we couldn't seem to find it, I think that they closed, bc a building that looked like it was closed up and for rent. that was sad since I liked that place and wanted to go back to it. Doug and I went to see 42nd Street, that is a great show. It was fanastic. Doug got us great seats. They were Second Row, Center Section, Eisle Seat and the one next to it, on the left side. Oh man they were great seats. The usher guy was like " Great Seats, You'll really enjoy the show!" And they were great seats, the show was amazing. You really need to go see it, if you haven't already. The tapping in the show was so good, I can't believe how together they were, it sounded so great all the people taping together. Great dancers. It was a great day in the city and no Blackout this time made it even better. Thank you Doug for such a great day!
Next, Doug's House, Saturday August 21st 2004 - I went over to Doug's house since his parents were having a little bit of a party. It took me awhile to get over there, since I was having a little bit of a nervous breakdown, but thankfully that passed the second I saw Doug, he tends to have that effect over me in that way. His parents had a bunch of people over, who I really did not know, but I felt bad since it poured so hard. Doug, I and Eric played frisbee. We got soaked to the skin in a matter of 5 mins, it was so much fun. I didn't mind getting wet at all. We stopped when it started to thunder pretty loudly, which I think was the right choice. Doug and I had to make a run for more ice, and Doug forgot his shoes so he wore my flip flops which were way to small for him. Since they were wet from the rain they got stuck to the bottom of the freezer. I wish I saw that, it would have been funny. Doug and I went to Applebee's later on in that night, since it was the last time that the whole posse would be together, since Doug was leaving and then Dana, and I got to meet Katie's boyfriend Matt, who was a cool guy. Went back to Doug's house after that, went into the hot tubb, I love that thing, so nice!
And, Doug's House again, Sunday August 22nd 2004 - I baked cookies for my love, which came out a shitload better than I thought they would since I have never really backed before. He said he liked them. I thought they were quite yummy myself. I helped Doug pack some more, since he was not done yet. I eat dinner over there, his mom made skirt steak, and cavetilli's for me, she is so nice. I went to church with them...Oh boy, I know, I was scared. They go to the scary, life teen mass, that mass frightens me, but the thing that scares me the most is that the little kids that act just like their parents, its such weird, I think. Doug's parents had their neighbors over for leftover cake and whatnot from the night before. After they left, Doug and I went into the hot tubb again, just so that we can get alone time (and not like how you are thinking) we just wanted to be together without being interupted...like tv wise, dog wise, parent wise, we just wanted to be with each other and nothing else. It was sad leaving him again, since he left this morning. But I did it once and I will be able to do it again, I miss him.
And last, Monday August 23rd 2004 - After my sister woke me up very early this morning for no reason, I went to lunch with her and mommy for chinese food. After that I picked up JEnny, Dana and Katie and we went to the psychic on DPA, it was kind of freaky the things that he said, but it was a good time. We went to get ice cream at this great place in Deer Park..Mmm Cake Batter. Went to Island Rec to pick up my check, dropped Dana off (sniff Sniff) hit up Rite-Aid got shit, went to old navy and was going to buy something but didn't I have to go back tomorrow after I cash my check. And I have been sitting here writting this really really long entry for way to long a time, but since I basically had to write it twice since I lost the frist one and I am waiting for a call from Doug, it really didn't matter since I had nothing else to do.
Alright, I'm out for now, I hope I didn't forget anything, it is long enough. I go to school in 6 days, it is crazy, I really have a lot of crap to do and I don't think I have the time. Oh well. Toodles for now...peace!
