You, who are on the road
Must have a code
that you can live by
And so
become yourself
Because the past is just a good-bye.
Teach your children well
Their father's hell did slowly go by
And feed them on your dreams
The ones they picked, the ones you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why
if they told you you would cry
So just look at them and sigh
and know they love you.
And you, of tender years
Can't know the fears
that your elders grew by
so please
help them with your youth
They seek the truth
before they can die
Teach your parents well
Their children's hell
will slowly go by
And feed
them on your dreams
The ones they pick
the ones you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh
and know they love you.
anybody out there? i havent posted a good post in a long while. but tell me, what do you hear? what do you get?
crazy how after some 35 odd years its still relevant as anything.
ps. school isnt really that important. no really. this is the end, time to wrap it up and breathe, in long term goals: this year the future is more important than the present. but dont forget that short termly speaking, the present is always more important. so i guess i should live today for tomorrow, but still somehow in the moment. prioritizing is good. i am wasting time, i am chillin though. have you stopped, to notice the sky? because its more than worth it.
hey.
i love somebody.
isnt that weird?
and i just said it on an lj post. which usually means one of two things: dang, that is true enough for her to say it to a lot of people, and shes comfy enough to do so; or 2- will profess my love to someone new tomorrow.
...i hope you know me well enough
