We are the Hamilton High School Choir students from the growing city of Chandler. Hamilton High School is one of the top schools in the state, as you may already know, in all that we do (football, cheer, baseball, band, orchestra, and choir just to name a few)...but the outstanding choir has decided to take things a bit further, starting with exchanging our Schola Cantorum (large co-ed group) California festival trip and sightseeing, for something even greater. Under the direction and selfless idea of Mrs. Cris Evans we are in the early stages of a project called, "Music Brings Hope." We are donating and raising all the money we can to bring New Orleans choir kids, who have lost a school to graduate from and a stage to perform on, out to sing with us, as well as giving them the opportunity to sightsee Arizona. They will not spend a penny; we will provide clothes for them to travel in, hosted homes, money for souvenirs, and much more. In the end we will all have experienced something so miraculous, for we can’t even imagine it now, we will learn from each other, and we will sing in a concert together as one. This will take place on April 5th through the 9th. We hope you can help us spread the word to your viewers around the valley, we can’t do this alone, but most of all we hope you can help us spread the Hope of Music. So far we have already raised $1,500 from selling Gold Canyon Candles to friends and family and $3,000 from a Veteran’s Day Concert with a fellow school and church choir on November 5th at the United Methodist Church in Sun Lakes, Az. But we are still in need of much more help. Can you help us spread the hope of music to those who lost so much in hurricane Katrina?
