Has anyone noticed that Oprah is gaining weight again? I am glad about this, because her exercise regime was totally ridiculous for the average working person and she was really arrogant about it.
I am heartbroken about Hurricane Katrina and disgusted in my country. Do you think (hope? pray? beg?) that this is the straw that will break the friggin' Republican's back? Inexcusable. There is no reason that Americans should be suffering the way that they are. Babies being raped and dying because of it in the SuperDome? What is this, Rwanda?
There would have been an immediate and effective response if DC had been hit. George W would have left his vacation immediately instead of 2 days later. People who say this isn't a race and economic issue have their eyes closed and are in denial.
I wish I could jump on a plane and go down there and help...Maybe I will.
