OK so last night work kinda sucked. It got a really busy all of a sudden, and the kitchen was being slow. Food took like 45 minutes to get out, so I jumped back there to try and help. Seeing as how I don't know how to cook much I couldn’t help out except on a few things. Luckily I had a GSA to take care of the guests while I was in the kitchen. Then our computers went down so I had to go hide in the office to try an fix them and after they got back up one of them still didn’t start so I had to call the help desk. it wouldn’t have been much of a problem but the server was saying that most of the servers checks were open on that screen which means you cant open them anywhere else. So help desk gave me a code to get around that but he gave me the wrong code so I called back and another guy gave me the correct code and we got that solved. although people were already made that their checks and credit cards were taking a while. most understood, but some were not happy. So after a wonderful nights full of comps because of unhappy guests and server goof ups I helped the cooks clean up so they could leave quicker than usual. I wanted everyone out as soon as possible because I was told that I was not to have any comps and I figured there was nothing I could do about that but I could help my labor costs and I do believe last night was the best I had ever done as far as that goes. I know this is probably a bunch of boring stuff but oh well I said I was going to write more and so I am. Anyways I finally left work about an hour after the cooks(4:30 am). When I got home I tried to get on the internet but my computer wasn’t working well for me. I was having major problems staying logged into AIM let alone checking my mail or making a post. So now that I am done with all that fun stuff it is off to shower and maybe do something on my day off.
