Aww. Hell, I'd walk 3.5 hours in a blizzard for that kind of ending.

Loved the detail of John wiping his nose on the muffler - that's how you do it if your hands are useless!

Thank you!

My thought exactly re: the muffler. Been there, done that. And feeling very glad that it's warm and sunny here right now. :-)

Awww. Poor John! That kind of weather is miserable to walk through. Good thing Sherlock was waiting for him!

It's the worst when snow turns a short bus/train/cab commute into an hours-long, frozen-footed slog. John's very lucky to have a fellow like Sherlock at home on a day like that. :)

Fantastic! I love how you captured the chaos a snowstorm can bring to a big city, and the miserable slog homewards. And this is utter, sheer genius:

Sherlock flung the door open and swooped down on John like an angel with plaid wings

That's going to stay in my head for days. Well done you!

Thanks!

Hee hee! Yeah, that image came to me over my latte this morning. I knew Sherlock was the angel. I knew the wings were a blanket. And then I knew the blanket was tartan. ;)
