VEGAN
So some of my friends have already seen these, but I'm going to post them anyway because 1) It's pretty awesome and 2) I don't start work til 2 this afternoon.
Recently where I live (Lismore) there has been a fair bit of vegan graffiti. To be clear, I personally don't have anything to do with it, though I wish I knew who did. Vegans are here and I want to know them. lol.
This one is one Keen St (opposite Goanna Bakery and Cafe)
This one is on Molesworth St (supplied by my good friend Izzy, lol). At the Transit Centre.
There are also two more that I don't have pictures of. 'GO VEGAN' is written on the side of KFC and 'EAT YOUR VEGIES' is written at the butchers on Wyrallah Rd. There also used to be 'GO VEGAN' on one of the bus stops on Dalley St, but someone scrubbed it off.
So basically I just wanted to share someones stealthy, illegal and totally awesome activism. The Northern Rivers generally has the whole alternative image thing going on anyway (there are a few vegetarian cafes around that serve vegan food, and then theres 20,000 Cows, a completely vegan restaurant). So it's not like it's surprising that there are other vegans here. But I've never seen anyone around here try and get a message out to the public this way.
In general I would probably say it's not good to "damage" public property like this. To be fair, both the Information centre at the transit centre and the place on Keen St have been closed down, so it's not like these places would be losing business from it.
The others? Eh.
