Okay, so it is fairly ugly. And it's calling me emo. But aside from the fact that I would've put country down below ska and maybe even mainstream, that is pretty accurate.
Oh yeah, and Norma Jean totally rules. The rest of the bands in the purple square I can live without, but you should check out Norma Jean if you haven't already.
I dunno! In the traditional sense of the word they would not, but very few of the bands that are currently considered 'emo' would. I think I have heard their name tossed around in the same sentences with bands that I know are called emo now, so maybe. I've never heard them, but based on the name I've decided that they must sound like a cross between the Chemical Brothers and My Bloody Valentine.
