I spent about a half-hour last night stretching and doing basic strengthening exercises. I realized that my hamstrings were not nearly as well stretched out as they should be simply by sitting on the floor and trying to touch my toes. This very quickly equaled intense pain. I followed it up with a few sit-ups, some leg lifts, and some hamstring presses. Why all this physical exursion on a Monday night, you ask? I'm in training.
Today is a 3 mile run. I'm debating how I'm going to do it. For one thing, I hate and loathe using the gravity track at Gordon and 30 times around is going to bore me to tears. For another, I found an exercise that recommends you do it at least 10-20 times on a short run. Decisions..... Irregardless of whether I work on my runner's six-pack, I have 3 miles ahead of me to run.
