Surviving

Mar 04, 2006 17:20

I've been on my own all day, and I've coped pretty well. I didn't hear my alarm go off this morning, as there was no alarm to hear! It turns out that my mobile phone has been on silent, even though I didn't set it to be that way. I found that this was remedied by turning the thing off, and then on again.

I've pottered about, done a bit of Japanese grammar, and headed off to the local supermarket (a ten-minute walk away), and feel none the worse for it; mind you, I didn't really have to do much except identify what the foodstuffs were, and pay for them. I've caught up on the Best Of The Chris Moyles Show (BBC Radio 1 podcast) from last week, and I've watched a bit of Japanese telly. I've even had a little chat with Sar via MSN.

I'm now feeling quite cosy, despite the chill, and have just polished off some cup ramen, toast and jam, and orange juice. I've even managed to sneak some snacks and cookies into my room for "emergencies". I don't know what constitutes one yet, but they're there if I need them.
