I am SUNBURNED. In the FACE.
In other news, Hempfest was pretty much the most awesome thing ever. Kind of like Burning Man, but without the camping, public copulation, and burning sculptures. Though when they do legalize hemp, I imagine the latter image may be incorporated in a whimsical fashion.
And, as we count backward from today...
We had a pool party at our house which turned out pretty well. It's good to see the pool get used for wicked games of Death Volleyball.
And Friday was actually pretty leisurely. I got a new video card, but I still can't get my system to display anything. Buggery. Maybe my card is just too awesome for my system.
And Thursday...Snakes on a Plane. Quite possibly the worst movie ever made, cinematically speaking. But there are two ways to look at a movie in the 21st century: Cinematically, wherein you judge a movie technically and artistically and judge it based on entirely academic criteria; and Socially, wherein you judge a movie based on the public reaction and how well it was recieved by its audience. Socially speaking, Snakes on a Plane was freaking awesome. I do love a good screaming fit with 2000 of my closest friends. As well as my Line-Of-The-Evening: "They died as they lived; naked and reeking of pot." A fine precursor to Hempfest.
But it's Monday. Hopefully I don't work tomorrow, because I now need some time to heal from this facial abuse I've suffered. It's self inflicted, but we only hurt the ones we love the most.
