HWA CyberClash THIS SUNDAY!

Mar 15, 2006 20:49

I know not everyone on my friendslist is a wrestling fan, but I wanted to pop this by you all anyway. This weekend, the HWA (my primary home as a professional wrestler) will present its first ever PPV. Mind you, it's only going to be available over the internet, but it's something that you might want to check out if you're a wrestling fan. Here's the known lineup, and my commentary will follow after the lineup:

Mind you, the segment cuts off somewhat abruptly, as this all was recorded to be the intro to Episode 16.)

1) I will most likely be on the free pre-show, so if your only reason to get the PPV is because I'll be on it... let me give you some reasons to watch anyway. Plus, you're still supporting me by watching the PPV, even if I'm not on it...

2) The HWA Television Title will be defended by the "real" Matt Stryker, one of the most talented wrestlers in the world today.

3) Lotus & Crazy J (aka The Irish Airborne) are a brother tag team, and are being forced to complete a Best-Of-7 series. As a tag team, these guys have impressed RoH significantly, and will be working with RoH a LOT over the summer. This is your chance to see what these two can do against each other - and trust me, if it fares with previous matches, it will be SPECTACULAR!

4) Nigel McGuinness is HWA trained from Britain, and Chad was trained by both Dean Malenko and the HWA's Les Thatcher. Nigel is currently the RoH Pure Champion (he defeated Samoa Joe for that strap!) and is about to join TNA as part of Team UK for the annual X Cup. Chad is right up there with his mentor Dean Malenko as far as skill is concerned, and the last time he hooked up with Nigel, they went over an hour! If you like pure, classic wrestling, this is what you want to see!

5) Pepper Parks has morphed away from his A Squad gimmick days, and has turned into quite the competitor. He's the current HWA Heavyweight Champion, and will be defending against Jimmy Yang (aka Akio in the WWE). Really, that's all I should have to say about this match to pique your interest.

6) Cody Hawk in a phenomenal wrestler, and one of the people who has my undying loyalty in this business. Jon Moxley is perhaps one of the BEST young natural talents I have seen, and my former tag team partner. Jon is getting lots of notice, and has been wrestling on a semi-frequent basis for the WWE. Get your chance to see him BEFORE the WWE signs him.

The PPV is this Sunday, starting at 7:30 PM EST for the pre-show, and is $9.95 (you can purchase directly from http://www.hwaonline.com starting Sunday afternoon).

So, if you have the free time and interest, PLEASE check this out. You won't regret it.
