(no subject)
well, i am in italy.
the trip over was not to bad, except that i missed my connection in rome so i had an extra 3 hours of layover.
once i got to naples, i went to get a rental car and my card was declined, then another card was declined, then one of the guys i work with had his card declined. after getting to the hotel, i checked with my credit card company and found out why it was declined, the car company, tried to put through over $5000 dollars US. So tommorrow we will head back to the airport and I will try again, only with a reasonably priced car.
the weather today was nice. shorts and t-shirt nice.
For dinner we went to a restaurant near the hotel. There are no menu's, you go in sit down, and they start bringing food.
So we sat down and they brought out about 8 different appetizers. when we finished those, they took the plates away. then they gave us new plates and brought some pasta with a mushroom sauce. then they took the plates away and gave us new plates and brought out salad, then they brought out a sizzling hot cast iron tray with steak sausage and potatoes on it. when we finished that they took all the plates away and borught desert. then they brough a try with little chocolate cones and a bottle of liquor. you are supposed to drink the liquor out of the cones then eat them. then we got the espresso.
as you can imaging we are completely stuffed now.
