(no subject)
I was able to leave work just after 1pm yesterday instead of 5:30. No we didn't close but Mo came in and let me leave since I live the farthest of everyone and no sense in 2 managers standing around doing nothing. I think we did end up closing st 6pm anyway because the poetry slam was canceled for the night. We did have some customers, mainly because we were the only ones opened and they had no where else to go eat. Of course it was still a major waste of employee hours. Traffic wasn't bad because no one was on the roads but people are idiots. Hello you don't hit your brakes on ice or bridges. So glad I drive a stick and can down shift. Yes we are open today but I'm going in at 10 instead of 9. I've been up since 6am though. Ed was suppose to be at work at 7am. I made him hot chocolate and kept filling buckets of water so he could de-ice the cars for us. He's such a good husband. He didn't even leave until after 7am. I called him around 8 to make sure he got to work safely. He had but no one was there to open the shop so he and a couple of techs were sitting in their cars. What a waste of time. He has keys to the building but they were locked in his office because he doesn't normally use them except when he works Saturdays. The dealership itself was opened and they could have gone in there but they opted to sit in their cars. I should call him. I guess I should head out. The highways are closed so I'm going to have to go all the way up Braodway to get downtown. Maybe I'll get to leave early again today. That would be awesome.
