Friday Ed and I went to Wurstfest. We had a good time. It was pretty cold that night so we stayed inside mostly. We ran into Lupe and Karen who work with my mom and their husbands and a daughter Yvonne. We hung out with them on and off through the evening. ed drank, he likes beer. beer is good, i want to marry a beer. ooohhh beer, i love you. *That last part is from Ed. I left my window opened and went to watch tv and forgot about it and that is what I came back to this morning. hahahah We did get to watch a crazy polka band called the Al Meixner Trio. they put on a great show. They cover different styles of songs and make them into polkas or accomadate them with the accordion. The best wast "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". The son, who sings, really gets into to it and dances around with his accordion and gets the whole crowd into it. Yes, polka is fun! ed wants to go again during the week so he can see his favorite polka band The Sauerkrauts but since we're going again next Sunday and we're suppose to be trying to save money I don't want to go 3 times this year.

Saturday I had to work. It was crazy busy since there was a Kinky Friedman rally there, but it actually went quite smoothly. I was surprised. I was quite worn out by the end of the day and didn't eat anything the whole shift. Work is, meh, work. Chanel put in her 2 weeks because she needs to find a ful time job with benefits. I know how that feels. Too bad though because she was a good worker.

Yesterday we cleaned house and went to visit Ed's (half) sister Sandra in the hospital. She was asleep the whole time, all doped up. She's got a lot of health problems. She's morbidly obese to the point where she can really leave her mobile home. She's diabetic. She's basically in a wheelchair because she can't support her own weight at all. I know she's lonely (when she was at home) but when we do go to visit her she wants us to bring her groceries, specifically sugar and I won't do it. Neither will Ed. I have never said anything to Ed's mom about it until last weekend went we went to visit and I told her about that and she said that she does bring her the sugar and other stuff that she knows is bad because she said that Sandra with get it anyway from someone else or will have pizza delivered. That's not a good excuse but I didn't say anything. Ed and I just won't be a part of helping her make things worse.

A couple of weeks ago Sandra had gallbladder surgery. She was fine and went home but then she was having problems breathing and with her heart. They brought her into the hospital for tests and observation and ended up doing some kind of emergency surgery. His other sister Cindy (that's a whole other can of worms) said it was open heart surgery but I don't think so. I didn't see any evidence of that while we were visiting. I think they may have looked with a scope but they didn't cut her chest plate. I'm not sure how long she's going to have to be in the hospital.

His mom must be pretty upset, what with 2 daughters worrying her. The 2 oldest daughters, Sandra and Bonnie are from her first marriage. They are 20 yrs older than Ed. Cindy is Ed's full sister but still 5 yrs older than him. I'll talk more about Cindy (maybe) in the future. Ed's dad seems to be okay. For the most part his health seems to be good. His palsy is not as bad at it was a couple of years ago. Meds help a lot.
