Click pic to enlarge:

11 weeks, 3 days!

I'm not sure if this is a top view or a bottom view, but you can see the feet here.

Baby toes!

Same picture only closer. The legs are bent and crossed. You can see little toes. That's the umbilical cord going between the legs.

Alien baby!

All babies look like aliens at this age. You can see an eye socket just under the eyebrow ridge.

Profile

This is a great pic.

Closer profile

You can see the forehead, nose, mouth and chin.

Karen (the x-ray tech) took a video of the sonogram. It was awesome and now we can watch it whenever we want. The baby is almost 2 inches long! S/he has an umbilical cord now attached to the placenta. We saw the baby's, spine, ribcage, heart, brain hemispheres and even the bladder which had pee in it! The heart rate was 180 which is normal for this age and will slow as I get further along. We still can't tell the sex yet. That's okay, everything was so exciting. The baby was sleeping so we tried to wake it but jiggling my belly. S/he did wiggle a little after that and put it's arm up as if it were scratching it's head to say, 'what the heck you doing there, mommy?' lol

This was my last official visit to the Fertility Center. We thought I had one more visit but I'm already over 11 weeks and they can only see me during the first trimester so I go back to see Dr. Lackritz (my reg OB/GYN) on Sept 5th. The good news is that my blood work came back fine. My levels are great so I get to stop all meds (injections and patches) on Sunday. This is great news because my hips are soo swollen from the injections every night and my tummy has a rash from the glue from the patches.

I went home sick today from work. I was hot and got super nauseous and dizzy. I had to wait until I wasn't quite so dizzy so I could drive home. I actually almost threw up. This is the second time this has happened. The first time, I thought it was because I hadn't eaten anything all day but I've eaten little bits (2 waffles, a yogurt, granola bar pack, grapes) here and there all day today. I think I just needed to slow down. It was a Friday lunch so of course we were busy. I was up and down bussing tables and when I am sitting behind the counter expediting food I'm sitting on a stool with no back that swivels. So I spin left to right from the food window to the counter with trays of food in my hands, yelling out names. Spinning back and forth prolly didn't make matters better. So I'm at home. I'm a little dizzy, not as nauseous. I need to eat something but I have no appetite. I actually lost half a pound from my last appointment. I have a weird cramp on the left side of my tummy right now.
