Ed and I have been out wandering all day, scouring garage sales. Lots of junk out there. We came across one place that had a couple of go carts but they were tore up. They had a little yellow scooter that I would have bought but it had just sold before we got there. Only $40. Too bad. We found a futon. The frame was nice (wood) but the mattress was flat and Ed didn't really want it plus she wouldn't sell it for $40 (she was asking $60). We did find this:
and I got it for a dollar! It's the Hank Williams Treasury box set and the case is in awesome condition. It's got 4 Hank Williams Sr albums in it and the vinyl looks in great shape, plus there were 3 additional country collection albums inside that someone must have stuck in there and then forgot. Bonus! I looked on ebay and
found it for $20 as an opening bid. I also found a little green princess dress for Amber. It's a 6x and she's tiny for a 4 yr old but she'll grow into it soon enough. They wanted $3, I got it for $1.50. We found a couple of fridges. One was only $25 and worked great. I thought we could use it for the garage for Ed's beer, or make a kegerator out of it but it wouldn't really work since it was a side by side. We did find another one that was the top and bottom style which is perfect for a kegerator but the lady wanted 75 bucks for it. too much!
Now we're going to do some work around the house, well Ed is. hahah. Tonight I'm going with my family (Ed doesn't want to go) to see Chicago and Huey Lewis. My mom got a bunch of free tickets so I thought it would be fun to hang out with them.
Tomorrow Ed and I (and maybe my family, Audrey, Amber) might go to Lulling for the
Watermelon Thump. There's a carnival for Amber, vendors for Audrey, mom and me, and a Beer Garden with continuous live entertainment for Ed, dad, and Matthew. It should be a fun time as long as it's not too hot.
