I had a good time today. Nemo was fun. The colors were great. However, we had a rude woman behind us who decided she needed to talk on her cell phone and then proceed to tell her husband everything that she had just said on the phone. They didn't start talking of course until after the show started. This went on for about the first 8 minutes. Finally I had enough and quietly turned around and asked them to keep it down because I couldn't hear the show. The husband stopped but the woman got back on her cell phone. I figured it wouldn't matter if I asked again, she'd prolly cause a scene, start cussing at me or try to start a fight. I can't believe how rude some people are. It's not like you are at home and can do whatever you want. Some people are not courteous but expect everyone else to be respectful of them. She also kept picking up her kid and dropping him into the seat next to Audrey every time he started to get antsy. And then Audrey said that someone kept farting and it really stank. I'm glad I was on the other side of her and couldn't smell it. We ended up moving to better seats in a row where no one was in and no one was around us. It was much better there. The view was great and we could stretch out our legs and not have to worry about obnoxious people. Audrey called her husband during the intermission and told him about the rude people. He suggested that we should have just stood up in front of them since they weren't watching the show anyway. "Oh, you want me to sit down so your kids can see? I will when you shut up." Damn, I wish I would have thought of that, but by then we had already moved. The show itself was good, not exactly like the movie though. Some things were omitted and others were altered to accommodate the skating. They did use the voices of Ellen and the rest of the movie cast so it sounded familiar and most of the text was from the movie. Amber liked it a lot but the scene in the fish tank where the other fish induct Nemo into their "club" scared her a little. There were also times when things got too dark like when Dory and Marlin were swimming into the darkness to get the mask and were caught by the fish with the "light" bait. Also when they were inside the whale it was too dark. They actually had a giant whale prop that Dory and Marlin swam into to and was lit from the inside so you could see them. Both of those were a little too dark (hard to see) and a little too long for me so I imagine they seemed even longer to a little kid. Over all though it was fun. The baby turtles were cute and the jelly fish were neat. All the fish glowed in the black light too.

I ended up breaking my glasses some how as we walked back to the car. No clue how I managed to do it but it's okay I have a spare pair that I bought the same time and never wear. Audrey took me home and we chatted with Ed while Amber played with the weiners. Then I followed them to my parent's house and Ed headed to Austin to ride the skate park. Matthew painted his room bright orange with large yellow stars of various size that were outlined in a purpley blue. I have no idea where he came up with it but it looks pretty cool. Orange is his favorite color. He even had his first car, an old Mercedes, painted safety cone orange.

Today was Justin's (Anjo's son) birthday so we spent the afternoon over there. Amber had a great time playing in the kid sized play house and jumping on the trampoline. Audrey and I caught up with Anjo and John and others that were there. Their kids are getting to big. John Lee will be 16 this year and is 6ft. Justin turned 14 today and is already 6'2". Joseph is the short stocky one but he's only in 5th grade so hopefully he'll catch up. I'm not sure how old Artise is, second grade I think, but she's getting tall as well.

Tonight I went with my parents to Fatso's with some friends of theirs. One of the couples' son Jimmy was celebrating his 19th birthday. We ate, drank, played pool and played a ton of songs on the jukebox. That was a good time, but I wish Ed was there. He's headed back from Austin right now. He needs to be careful because it's starting to rain and the streets are getting slick.

I totally ruined my diet today. I had a hot dog, popcorn, and part of a funnel cake at Nemo, I had a hamburger, some chips with queso and a piece of cake (albeit a small one) at Anjo's, and I had a piece of a potato wedge, 2 chicken nachos, a few fries, some onion rings, and 1 1/2 swirl margaritas at Fatso's. I feel so heavy now. So weighed down.

I finally saw Napoleon Dynamite the other day. It was okay. There were some funny parts. It would prolly have seemed funnier if I were watching it with a bunch people and/or were drunk. I didn't watch all the credits and see the end so now I have to watch it (at least that part) again. We still haven't watched Die Hard 3. Since I saw my family today, Ed and I have no plans for Easter and will prolly end up having a lazy Sunday which sounds just great to me.

out, food, crazy people, family, movies
