So then Ed mumbled something and I said, "I don't know what you're saying but I know it's not good."

What have I been up to? For VD Ed and I exchanged gifts. I got him a pocket watch and the Anchorman DVD and he got me a pool cue and the old Interpol CD. They were all great gift ideas but we ended up returning the watch and cue for the styles we'd rather have. It's nice to be comfortable enough with someone to return the gifts they gave you and not offend them. We still ended up getting the same items just in different styles. The watch I had bought Ed had a flip open face with a long chain and he really liked it but the clip was for a jacket pocket so he couldn't use it. So we got one that had a clip you can hook to a belt loop. This one doesn't have the flip open face though, but it does have Indiglo™ which is cool. The pool cue Ed had gotten me was nice but it was thicker than I liked and I didn't like the grip. We ended up buying the cue I've been using (Juan's spare cue) for $20 plus a case from Wal-Mart® for $10. It's a nice cue and I'm comfortable with it. I'm such a tomboy. I have my own darts, bowling shoes and now my own pool cue!

For dinner we went to the Little Red Barn at the last minute because we didn't feel like cooking or dressing up and we didn't think it would be busy. Wrong. It was jam packed with a line out the door but it was moving fairly quickly. They got slammed not only with the VD crowd but with tons of families in town with the rodeo.

I had Wednesday off so I drove around an looked at a ton of houses with Art. There were 2 houses with the same floor plan in 2 different neighborhoods. There was about a $3000 price difference in the 2. One was totally done up like a model/designer house. It didn't look like anyone actually lived there it was soooooo done up. I did liked the carpeting. The other was nice but not as posh. It looked more like a liveable/comfortable home. It was interesting to see how differently the 2 were. I liked both of them. There was another house I liked that was 2 doors down from another house that Ed and I had seen (and liked) about a month ago but it had on offer on it. This one was similar. It had a split level floor plan but unlike the first this one had a half bath downstairs and the floor plan was slightly different. The only thing I didn't like was the color on the wood of the exterior. It was this weird pinkish. That can easily be remedied. I'm off this weekend so we might go look some more.

Friday night Ed and I went to Clicks to shoot some pool. They have free pool for couples from 7-9pm. Ed actually shot really well. His game comes and goes. He's not consistent and when he plays sometimes he feels pressured and shoots horribly. I guess since it was just us he was relaxed.

Sunday we met up with Suzanne and Chris at Taco Land. Their friend Jolie came into town from Fredricksburg to hang. She was a cool chick. I didn't get to do the Monique's Patented Handshake Test on her though. That's okay, I'm sure it would have been a fulled handed grip. Chris's old band Chapstick from Michigan were in town. They fuckin' ruled! Ed and I were worn out and had no intention of staying the whole night. We thought we'd be courteous and listen to a couple of songs...and then they took the stage and we were enraptured. The band was intense and the crowd was rocking. All bands sound like crap at Taco Land. I've come to expect that. You go there for the experience, not the acoustics. Chapstick however were amazing. They were fun and they sounded great. Chris and Andy (who I've know since '92 from working at the Olive Garden and I have no idea how he ever knew/know/was a member of Chapstick) jumped up and played the second half of the set with them. Suzanne and Jolie were dancing. My friend Eric was there bashing around. It was the most fun I'd ever had at Taco Land and I didn't even have a drink.

Sunday I went to Chuck E. Cheese for Mikey's (mrobenee_kelley's son) 5th birthday party. I had a lot of fun. I sat with Michelle, Kari, and Vicky (Michelle's niece) while all the kiddos ran around like lunatics. I took lots of pictures with Michelle's dad's camera while he was blowing out the birthday candles and opening presents. I got him a Sponge Bob towel set (they are re-doing the guest bathroom entirely in Sponge Bob) and a bag full of dinosaurs. Michelle and I took a couple pictures together in one of those machines that make it look like it's a drawing. Hopefully she'll post it so I can link and show it since I can't host right now. By the end of the day Mikey was worn out! I did good. I didn't eat any pizza, but I did eat a bite of cake. My diet is really coming along (steady as she goes). I've lost 6lbs!

Tonight Anheuser Busch was hosting a product introduction party for the new Budweiser Select and since Mo had to work tonight I got to go. I took my dad and Ed with me and let them do all the tasting since I don't care for beer. I just came for the food which was a tasty little buffet. I didn't eat too much though. Most of it was high carb. I did try the new B to the E, which is their "energy drink" style beer. It's fruity and has caffeine and ginseng but still tasted like beer to me. My old GM Tammy from Clicks was there. We hung out with her and her new husband Dan (who is the GM of another Clicks). There wasn't much to do except socialize. Most of the reps were getting loose. They had a DJ so people were bopping around in their little conversation circles. They did have a projection screen video shooting game set up where you shot a rifle (actual size and weight) with a laser and hit geese or deer or other game. I didn't make the winner's board but I did kick Ed's ass by 8000 points! Guns and alcohol -what a combination! It was kinda weird. I kept closing my left eye out of habit. I do that when I take pictures too.

I suppose that's all. Goodnight Kittens!
