Patchy McPatch
Hello everyone
Things are going good with me. I took my patch off on Friday morning. It's red-purple and swollen. Plus the ointment irritated my skin. Now it's not so swollen but still looks bad, plus it's stitched closed. I have to wait until next Saturday to get those out. The pain isn't as bad but moving my right eye quickly jerks my left eye muscles of course so I have to remember to move my eyes slowly and turn my head more.
I ventured out of the house for the first time on Friday with Edward. We went to pick up some meds and found plain black eye patches at the pharmacy for only $2.59. I bought 3. Ed brought me to my parent's house on Saturday to spend the weekend with them so he could get some errands done. My mom and I went to Hobby Lobby and found some things to decorate the patches with. We covered one with a leopard print, one with dark red jewels (hot glue guns rock!), and one with different colored pink sequins in designs. They turned out really cool. Of course going around with an eye patch is still quite awkward but if people are going to look I might as well make a statement. Who knows I might start some bizarre trend. I'll take some pictures when I can and upload them. But now I need to rest. I get worn out quickly still. Plus my suture line is getting really itchy. I need to put ointment on it.
