Leaving on a jet plane. Don't know when I'll be back again

Saturday Edward and I went to Tom's apartment to hang for a little while and so that Ed could use his pipe cutter. I watched an old re-released to DVD skate video with Jason Lee (of Kevin Smith film fame) called Blind. HÜsker DÜ!!

We went home and hopped on our bikes. Downtown was packed with tourists. Final Four is coming and Spring Break is upon us. It was about 4pm and we were hungry so we rode to Alamo Plaza and ate at the G&M steakhouse. That place has been there since the days of the Alamo. Good tasty steaks for very little cash. After eating we rode some more and stopped at Texas something or other bar on the Riverwalk to see if Jes was working. forgot he had back surgery and will be out of commission for a few months. Ed had a beer though and I played Boxglide on the countertop touch screen arcade game. I got the high score and so I got a free game (twice) so I was able to play 3 for a quarter. I rock!

We then rode over to Market Square which was packed. There were a couple of bands, one playing oldies, the other tejano. I love living downtown and just being able to hop on my bike and be in the heart of all the activity. We rode down to South Town on S. Alamo and stopped at Acapulco Drive-in. Another San Antonio landmark eatery. Some couple sitting near us was playing dominoes. I haven't played since college.

Then we rode home let the dogs out for a few minutes, hopped back on our bikes and headed to meet Tom at Sam's Burger Joint where I used to bartend. I was a little anxious because I had been there or seen anyone since I'd been sick and gained weight. It wasn't so bad. I'm glad I went. I wouldn't have been able to do this in September when I was still so swollen with "moon-face", I was too ashamed (although it was not my fault -damn meds) of the way I looked. I saw Steve my old bar manager and he gave me a huge hug. Ed goes there every once and a while and so he knew what was going on with me. I missed him. Some people recognized me, others didn't. But that's okay.

Chris and Suzanne met us up there. Zeke was playing and you can't go wrong with them. We had an awesome time.

Yesterday Ed and I spent the day lazying around the house. We went to Walmart for a few odds and ends and then over to Carraba's for Juan's birthday dinner. Ton's of people were there. I had the Salmon with a tomato pomodor like sauce. I was hoping for a creamier sauce but it was just chunks of tomatoes with capers. A little disappointed. The chicken soup that Edward had was good though.

Christina's nephew Reece was so adorable. He kept spanking me on the bottom every time I walked by. Little flirt. He is doing soo good. He used to be so shy and wouldn't go to anyone except his mom and dad. Not even grandma! Shelly said that she put him in daycare 2 days a week and it's made a complete difference. He's really come out of his shell. and he's advancing much quicker than he was. He'll be 2 next week and he's almost completely potty trained! That's awesome for a boy. He still wets at night sometimes but she says it's her fault and shouldn't let him drink so much so late. He got real underwear this week and has only had one accident which was earlier that day. Shelly was in the shower and he had to go. He took off his pants and peed on the floor. Well at least he knew enough not to pee on himself. :)

Today I'm up early and I actually need to get going because I have to run to H-E-B to pick up a prescription and several other little errands to run. I'm (hopefully) going to meet Edward for lunch around 11:30. Matthew is coming over around 2:45 with my mom to bring us to the airport. Audrey is going to meet us there. Our flight leaves at 5pm to Houston and the we leave at 7:30pm to Schiphol in Holland and arrive Tuesday (time change) at 11:40am. I am sooooooo excited you don't understand, but I know I'm going to miss Ed.

If I'm not able to get to a computer I hope everyone has a safe and fun time and I'll be back in 2 weeks (Apr 5).

Bye!
