I worked long and hard yesterday. It was busy/steady at Sea World, which is surprising for the day after Thanksgiving, plus we haven't been open on a Friday since August. My mom, sister and niece stopped by and took some pictures on the whale. I'll post them later. Amber is so funny. I have the guests "scream" when they are getting their picture done to make it look more realistic and it makes it more fun of an experience. Well Amber would yell "Ahhhhhhhhh!" with each group when she was watching. Too cute. She's such a smiley kid. :)
I got home around 6:40, jumped in the shower, ate a tiny pork chop and green beans that Ed had made for me. Awwww so sweet. He had to work yesterday too. Then he brought me to the club. Downtown was packed. I knew I wouldn't be able to find parking that's why I had Ed bring me. The river parade was cool. There was a Cat in the Hat float that was neat. I worked outside. It got pretty cold toward the end of the evening.

Have to work at Sea World again. 2 days left. I wonder how busy it will be? The sun is shining bright but it's cold.

I'll be out there until about 6pm. The park closes at 8, but the last Shamu show is at 5 so there won't be much business after 6 plus it will be quite chilly and we don't have a heater in the building plus the front is a garage door that's wide open so I will be cold. Can you say layers?

Tonight Ed and I are prolly going to Casbeers to listen to Brave Combo, a jazzy polka band with definite Texas conjunto roots. They have also been know to do covers of Jimi Hendrix and Led Zepplin. Apparently Matt Groening is a fan and they will be featured on the Simpson's sometime next year. Here is a snippet of their sound Waltz in C Minor and here's a polka called Don't get Married. It should be a good time.

Ooo I just found this. I like it. It's a band called Conjunto Clave from OKC.
