So I rode my bike downtown today and applied at the Gunter Hotel. They are hiring a cashier for the restaurant. fef, it's a job. I would have gone to the Majestic Theatre (not a movie theater), but the area was blocked off. I think they were setting up to film a commercial or movie or something. Then I put in an application at the Children's Museum. They are hiring for hostess and floor positions. That would be cool. I think I would like to work there, with kids. :)
On the way home I stopped by the Municipal Auditorium but was told I had to apply through the city and I would have had to go back downtown. Some other day perhaps. I'm about to head over to the new Super Walmart on Vance Jackson. It's about 6 miles away. Walmart hires anyone. I mean they hired this girl Michelle, and she's a total idiot (not
mrobenee_kelley). I'm going to apply for the bakery. Tomorrow evening I'm going to apply at
Jim Cullum's Landing. It's a live jazz club and restaurant. Ed's friend Chris is the owner's son. I'd love to be a hostess there. I had applied there before back in `97 but we didn't live downtown yet and I told them I changed my mind about driving that far (and paying for parking). Now I can ride my bike. :)
I know I have a degree in Psychology and could make good money doing something with it even if I don't go back to school. The thing is I couldn't stand working in an office, doing paperwork, or other stuff like that. There are soo many office type jobs I could do, but it would drive me nuts.
In other good news, I went down to 17.5mg today on the steroid. Woo Hoo!
Here's a silly little cartoon about
the end of the world. Not work safe. Of course in reality Texas would be the only survivor.
