So, it's safe to say that Danny likes tall, cool brunettes, yes?
I haven't bothered to look at episode reactions yet, but I'm sure the "Icky girl parts have invaded our 'ship! Noooooo!" contingent has started wailing.
So I'm just going to get this out of the way first: I like Rachel. I like Rachel A LOT. I wouldn't have expected Danny to be married to a classy Englishwoman and I like that they went such an unexpected route with her. The back story of her hitting his patrol car is made of win, and I like that we're finally able to see some of their conflict from her side. I think the actress played the subtlety of her being worried about Danny beautifully, and I like that we got the sense that the *danger* of his job was her big worry, not his social class. And she and Scott Caan have major zing. I can't wait for them to end up in a tension-fueled make out session at some point.

While I continue to think AO'L is the weakest link in the cast, I think his acting choices are finally starting to grow on me. Especially when you compare Steve to Rachel and realize that they're "of a type." DDK continues to be the show's best kept secret and grounding element, and when he clothes-lined that biker, I wanted to lick my TV. Jesus, he's hot. I really hope they get back to Chin's story soon and set about clearing his name. I also like that Kono continues to be "the rookie" learning things (that Grace Park is actually the second oldest in the cast never ceases to amuse me).
Last, but not least, could someone make this image into an LJ icon for me? Perhaps with small, cursive font that says "Ohana"?
