There's a lot of capslock in this post. And parentheses. And Sasha talk.

Shirtless. Sasha. Ah, how I wish that such a beauteous sight could cancel out the HORRIFICALLY GRATUITOUS Candace Cameron Bure, "Lord, I have sinned because I wanted Sasha to touch me in the no-no place" crying-in-church segment.

To wit, I'm going to focus on the "I made a commitment to Payson" part of Sasha's scenes, and not the "I love you" he said to Summer....even if he WAS gloriously shirtless while doing so.

(I'm sorry, but if you really love that man, you are not going to be crying in church because you almost bedded him. You ask him to marry you and TAP THAT ASS.)

(But how fucking swoonworthy was Sasha pushing Summer away because he didn't want her to sacrifice her values? Not to mention a massive instance of him DODGING A BULLET.)

Payson's dry retorts to the girls' teasing her about Sasha just made her all the more awesome (Sasha Junior! Moving into his trailer! LOL!), and I loved the whole "Sasha discussing their dating training with her parents" bit, because it just stresses how honest and wonderful the whole Sasha-and-Keelers relationship is. I love how worried Mark was, and how gently he asked Payson to explain the relationship. "He made me feel beautiful and protected and special." Le sigh! And then Mark gave them their own love nest place to train. Awwwwww.

(Can I just say again how much I appreciate this show NOT sacrificing their dynamic and, instead, continuing to cultivate it so tenderly?)

I also have really grown to enjoy Austin, even if he's playing the after school special story of Kaylie's eating disorder. It's actually the only other arc besides Payson's that has any depth and authenticity.

I mean, the rest of it is just SO piecemeal and terrible. Ellen Beals is a cartoon. Lauren NEVER learns from her evil acts, and the writers seem to forget them five seconds after she commits them. Emily is ALWAYS the angsty kicked puppy who needs a pep talk and, frankly, I could give a damn. Her mother is way more awesome than she is.

Last, but not least, the episode's ENDING. ZOMG. Like I didn't see that coming? Of COURSE Kaylie passes out, Pay makes the team and Emily gets arrested...and SASHA DOES THE NOBLEST THING EVER AND QUITS. The minute I saw him hitching up the trailer, I wanted to bawl. However, let's not dwell on the leaving, since we know he'll be back someday; let's dwell on the fact that he wrote Payson a love goodbye letter. Just Payson. Nobody else. One that, no doubt, said, "Come find me when you turn eighteen and I will make sweet, sweet love to you."

In conclusion, Sasha/Payson FTW! And Bela Karolyi kicks ass!
