1. I love that we continue to see that Peter Burke will fuck your shit up if you touch his wife and his Neal. God, I know it's anti-feminist of me, but that Alpha male shit can be SUCH a turn on sometimes. I cheered when he punched Fowler. And Elizabeth was kickass getting all up in Fowler's space.
2. I also cheered that Peter and Diana (yay! hi, Diana!) teamed up to bring Fowler down. SO glad she's back next season. It's just unfortunate that they wasted Natalie Morales as Lauren.
3. Neal sent El flowers. And got her a huge catering account. And asked her about LOVE. ::::incoherent flailing::: And how much do I love that El and Peter are just so in sync with him? That Peter knew Neal couldn't say goodbye to him? Neal and Mozzie's last scene broke my heart, too.
4. Which reminds me, that whole last scene at the airfield, when Peter was urging Neal to confront the lack of goodbye? They were so milking it as a "because I love you" moment. Awesome writers are awesome. And I absolutely ached for Neal in that moment when the plane exploded...realizing that him and Peter bantering in their OTP way had saved his life but cost him Kate. (Who is probably not dead, but whatever.)
5. Alex continues to be great. She and Neal just sizzled in the pool scene and every scene thereafter. I was screaming at the TV for them to kiss...and considering how I feel about Neal/Peter/El, that's pretty significant.
Next season is going to be really interesting, because Neal is, basically, a legitimate FBI agent now. Thanks to OPR and the deal with Fowler. But with Kate possibly dead and someone above Fowler in the food chain plotting against him and Peter...that just makes the conspiracy theory worse. What would be Neal's incentive to stay partnered to Peter in the white collar division? The story from here on out is going to be different, but I really hope they maintain the through line of Peter and Neal's mutual trust and affection.
