Brief Monday TV thoughts.
Dan Scott is awesome. We all know this. I had absolute faith he'd pwn Renee on national teevee. Thank you, Dan, for proving me right. I am so glad Nathan was vindicated, and how sweet was Haley and Nathan cuddling in the aftermath?
I knew Clay's chickie was a figment of his imagination. HA! The actress looked really familiar, too. I also think that it's patently obvious that Renee slept with HIM the night of the party and they're just waiting to drop that bomb on us when he and Quinn get cozier. Unfortunately, Quinn is getting less and less sympathetic over time. I mean, David wanted to give her a GOOD life, and bring home a solid paycheck and that's a BAD thing?
I'm not sure what the root of Brooke and Julian's conflict was this episode, if we were supposed to think they were having some kind of in progress fight or this was leftover from the Alex stuff, but Sophia and Austin just sell their characters' emotions SO well. I could watch them connect plotlessly over and over, because it's all in their eyes and the sets of their jaws. Can't wait for next week, because the silly girls/guys bonding episodes are always a good time and it'll be great to have a break from all the angst. Plus, we're guaranteed to see Austin Nichols' gorgeous smile. Le sigh!
Okay, I think I need to get the obligatory EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE out of the way here first. CAPPIE AND CASEY. OMG. YAY. I have been waiting two and a half seasons for this, you guys, and I am SO glad Cappie took the biggest risk possible and told Casey he wanted her back. Just...yay. Cap was perfect, and that kiss was perfect and just...guh.
And I love Beaver and Wade and Heath and how he had some bonding time with them. "You used to live for Risk! And Chutes and Ladders!" Bwah! Of course, sorry Beav, Heath actually had the line of the night. That was when Rebecca and Casey brought Evan over to the KT house for dinner and Heath noted that no Omega Chi walks into the house "without getting pounded...by my fist..." And then he just kind of got all flustered and lost steam. LOL! It was just so wrong, yet so right. I love this show so much.
Next week, I think it looks like Evan's in some big, big trouble and since it's rumored that someone gets expelled from CRU, I'm placing bets on Bing. Don't go, Evan. Don't go! I need you and Rebecca to have snarky, tanned babies.
So, basically...OH, SHOW. I LOVE YOU.
Also? Am watching Castle. It's rife with pop culture references to the point of it kind of being ridiculous. May have to turn it off and catch up later, because I'm so tired.
