Livin' la mvid loca...

Beware the dangers of listening to your iPod when you're in the throes of new fandom love. Wanna know why? Because it's entirely possible you will decide that "Head to Toe," by Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam would be perfect for a Gibbs/Abby vid.

::face-palm::

I need an intervention. Stat.

In tangential "damn, I wish I could vid" news, since "Kate Voegele" is right before "Lisa Lisa" on my playlist, I got to lay out my Life "Hallelujah" vid again. This time, I'm going to write down my visualization!

I've heard there was a secret chord [Charlie out in the sunlight, basking in it.]
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you? [Charlie listening to Reese w/ the headphones]
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth [shots of the newspaper clippings w/ the dead cops]
The minor fall, the major lift [prison bars]
The baffled king composing Hallelujah [Charlie staring at his wall o' suspects]

Hallelujah, Hallelujah [Charlie driving all intense-like]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof [the white horse on the lawn]
You saw her bathing on the roof [The first time Charlie sees Jennifer after he's free]
Her beauty [the two of them out by the car, making out]
in the moonlight
overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair [her kicking him out and leaving him on the road]
She broke your throne,
she cut your hair [her slapping him for asking permission to sleep with her]
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah [them bonding with Rachel, carries over to chorus]

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe I've been here before [Charlie's empty house]
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you [Charlie with Ted in the house]
I've seen your flag on the marble arch [Ted passing the bookstore window featuring the expose on him]
love is not a victory march [Ted's students all walking out on him]
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah [Ted curled up with Charlie's stepmama to be in the orange grove]

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

There was a time you'd let me know [Charlie seeing Connie all beaten by her client]
What's real and going on below [Charlie menacing said client]
But now you never show it to me do you? [Connie stonewalling him]
Remember when I moved in you? [the scene where he almost kissed her, carries over into chorus]
The holy dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah [Connie staring out the office window, angsty]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe there's a God above [Charlie and Dani during the case of the murdered angel]
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you [Dani wielding her gun]
It's not a cry you can hear at night [Dani breaking down]
It's not somebody who's seen the light [Dani picking up some guy in a bar]
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah [Dani staring at her father across the dinner table]

Hallelujah, Hallelujah [montage of Charlie in sunlight, Charlie driving, Charlie and Dani looking badass together]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I actually don't have nearly as many versions of the song as I could have. Just Jeff Buckley's (on a CD somewhere), a Welsh version, and Kate's. I had to delete Imogen Heap's cover because, frankly, it gave me the creeps. I just didn't like it. I also have three versions of "In My Life": The Beatles, Johnny Cash, and Rick Hearst. What I would *really* love is Brooke White's cover of "Let it Be." I loved seeing her do that on the Idol tour this summer.
