Hi. I'm alive. I swear. I just haven't felt like rambling publicly about my TV viewing habits or posting much fic. We're just having a bit of a slump over at Casa Monimala, but I'm sure things will pick up soon.
There is absolutely nothing on TV, so I'm amusing myself with YouTube. I figure I haven't looked to see who has been vidded to "Collide" or "Chasing Cars" lately, so that might provide a modicum of entertainment. I'm also trying to remember what couple/song combination I was recently jonesing for and I just can't hit on it! I remember thinking, "Hey, I should totally see if someone has vidded pairing X to song Y," but that's it. AAAARGH.
Speaking of vids, if I were a vidder, I would totally vid Charlie from Life to "Hallelujah." But not the Rufus or Jeff versions. Probably more like the Kate Voegele version. I actually worked out the whole thing while listening to the song on my Ipod Shuffle. Not that I remember any of that NOW, but I recall assigning a verse each to Jennifer, Connie, Dani and Rachel.
Thanks to angel_grace, I'm now a partial NCIS convert, so that's kind of fun. I like Ziva and Tony, and Abby and Gibbs. I'm still watching GREEK, and Beaver/Wade/Cappie is MADE OF AWESOME. They're almost, *almost* at my Calvin/Evan and Cappie/Casey/Evan level of love now. I'm behind on Ugly Betty and How I Met Your Mother, so I'll have to catch up via the IntarWebz at some point.
I'm also currently on a big Smallville Clark and Lois kick. I've been reading some of the recent recs over at crack_van and just been generally squeeful about season eight. I feel like despite the lack of Lex and the utter idiocy of Clark and Lois skipping ANY kind of journalism schooling and landing desk jobs at the Daily Planet, they're finally getting Clark on track canonically. I think Tom and Erica have fantastic banter and chemistry and "Committed," was probably THE best episode for Clark/Lois of the series so far. Plus, hello, there's myOllie and he's usually semi-naked.
Other stuff knocking around in my head: HSM's Ryan and Chad, Bond/Veronica, T:SCC's Derek and Sarah, more of GH:NS's Patrick and Jagger...
I just wish I could *write* something.
I'm probably just going to curl up in bed with the Marjorie Liu Dirk & Steele book I got out of the library. Since this is the third or fourth book of hers I'm reading, it appears she's officially made it onto my list of "okayed" supernatural/urban fantasy authors. LOL. But I gotta say, it's still a damn short list: Liu, Kelley Armstrong, Kim Harrison, and Melissa Marr.
Also? My library accused me of not returning Perfect You, by Elizabeth Scott. Dude, I turned it in last month! I know I did. Didn't I?
