medie is running the You Must've Been Kissin' a Fool comment drabble-thon (if there's a more accurate name for it, I don't know what it is!) this weekend. There's tons and tons of prompts, so ficcers and artists are bound to find something to tickle their fancy.

I've already contributed twice today (and, no, I still haven't done my taxes).

Oh, my.

Wow. This is what I've been missing, and what I've been trying to slag through buttloads of fic to find.

There's emotion and drama and ache and hope and fear and all those things I love to get from the fic I read. I LOVE the crossovers. Madeline/Sloane is so gorgeous and deadly...that last line about kilt me ded. Definitely made me shiver.

And Claire. I'm STILL not caught up on Heroes, but I love this idea of her joining the League and Ollie (I've only seen him a few times...but, oh! My kinda guy...) I like the idea that she stays bubbly and brings them all hope. I think that, more than being invincible, is what makes her valuable.

Madeline and Sloane would be the perfect adversaries...except that, of course, Maddie would win. *g* And that's the edge I wanted to bring to that ficlet.

As for Claire, I know "haters" think she's a whiner, but I love the normalcy to her, the Teenness, and I love what that could bring to a jaded Oliver who's been running the Justice League for a few years.

I really need to watch my LFN S2 discs. I jumped through a whole lotta hoops to get em, and STILL haven't watched them. :( Oy. Damn you, life, why must you get in the way!!!??

There really will always be haters, won't there? I don't get it. She's young, but she's strong and human at the same time, and that's what I LOVE in my heroines. *shrug* I guess I just don't get it. And I'm WAY okay with that.

I've got S2 of LFN sitting up on a shelf. I stopped after "Hard Landing." I'm so awful! I never finished S3 of 21 Jump Street and 2 of Dukes of Hazzard either.

I love my heroines, too, and I'm not going to turn on them just because they're tiny and blonde and don't represent me on the outside. I love Claire because of her strength and her humanity.
