I started writing this yesterday. It hit me out of left field and I have no idea what was going on in my head. In any case, it pretty much does a crazy dance all over Supernatural canon and various origin stories.

Thank you. I'm glad the grit, the fatigue and the glimmer of hope all came across. I always loved Isabel and wrote her POV quite a bit back in the day, so given the Grey's connection, it seemed perfect to bring her over and have her interact with John.

Her daughter does end up with Ellen, yes, and Ash is, in effect, Jo's Nasedo. That's definitely how I was thinking about it, even if the logistics of time travel and them stashing the baby in the past were giving me a headache. I never liked Isabel and Michael *together*, but the sheer fact that they and Max are the only people who really know what their lives are like are what I think would keep them together. I have no idea what happened to Liz or Maria in this universe. I didn't really give it any thought!

And I just realized that I have this e-mail you sent me back in December that I still haven't replied to and I'm so sorry about that! I always feel like long letters deserve well-thought out, long replies... and I apparently haven't had enough brain power to manage such a thing!
