So, I have this Thing for made-for-TV movies. Bonus points if its a Christmas movie, but, really, as long as the guy is cute and there's a guaranteed happy ending, I am There. I tend to stay away from the whole "Moment of Truth" oeuvre with your Valerie Bertinellis and Candace Camerons and Victoria Principals, but in general I'm pretty easy. I love ABC Family, am lukewarm on Hallmark, and Lifetime is hit-and-miss. And I love that Oxygen movie with Matt Cedeno, Laura Prepon and Carrie Fisher, Romancing the Bride. (If anyone who's been reading my LJ long enough can remember my absolute favorite made-for-TV movie, I will write you a drabble in the fandom of your choice.) Having said all that, it should be no surprise that I loved A&E's Wedding Wars. It had genuinely funny dialogue, actors who looked like they were actually okay with being in the movie and a serious message at the core of it. It had heart! And it had Firefly's Sean Maher, who was adorable and totally worth tuning in for this time around. (The Dive from Clausen's Pier was two hours of my life I will never get back. It was a whole lot of Big Damn Suck.)

In ficcish matters, I'm still diligently working on my vm_santa fic and I hope the person I'm writing for likes it. Am tempted to draft one of you fabulous fan artists out there to make cover art to go along with it. Hmm.

And since I'm still on a Bollywood kick, the previews for Salaam-E-Ishq looked really slick and very gorgeous, but it totally feels like a Love Actually rip-off. Not to mention that I didn't like Kal Ho Naa Ho as much as the rest of the world did, so I'm not exactly thrilled to see what Nikhil Advani does this time around. Still, it's got my boy John and Juhi Chawla (eee!), so I'll probably see it anyway. Basically, as long as there's no heart patient running around doing high impact bhangra, I should be fine.

You know what I would really love? If someone could do a VM vid to Bollywood music. I know neptune_video's December theme is non-English and it makes me wish that I was a vidder. Just off the top of my head, here's some stuff that could be interesting:

1. A Lilly's death arc vid to the theme from Bombay by AR Rahman.

2. People keep insisting Piz is stalking Veronica (In his own dorm room! That fiend!), so how about "Jaadu Teri Nazar," from Darr, the ultimate stalker song.

3. An Aaron vid to the title track from Khalnayak.

4. Okay, I reserve the right to edit and add more crazy shit as it occurs to me. Because you know I'll think of a V/Lamb one.
