Me: I used to have an LJ under the name malisita but I deleted it so I could purge about 5 years of whining and bad karma and start fresh with a new name and a cleaner slate. I've been in fandom for well over a decade. I started out in soap fandom and then moved into La Femme Nikita, where I was a wide-eyed, naive little fangirl with an inexplicable crush on Operations. I was a BTVS ficcer but never Bronzed. I was a Roswell-ian but never sent Tabasco to the WB. I've written in tons and tons of fandoms but never really been a "big name." I lurk, I post, I do my thing. I'm fairly laid back unless you piss me off.
My "friending" policy: Feel free to friend my journal so that you may keep up with my fics or have something to point and laugh at when you get bored. I do not automatically friend people back. 75% of the time, whenever I've done that, it's bitten me in the ass somehow. So, in order to avoid the drama of having to cut people, I've just decided to be more vigilant about who I friend in the first place. Plus, most everything I have to say is public anyhow, so you're not missing much.
