sunday night was the big d halloween show. i went with thom dunn. bands that played were lost city angels, the call up, wilhelm scream, kicked in the head [hearts!] and big d [...obviously.]. i made thom walk to me even though the show was at the axis because i'm small and weak, not to mention defenseless, and would have been assaulted in one way or another had i not had someone with me. i'm not paranoid.. i just know these things. anyways, we get there and thom asks if i have my ID, and i say no, so then we walk back to emmanuel, i grab my id, then walk back to the axis. and thom's lazy. so he complained a lot. BUT THIS IS THE CLINCHER. we get back to the axis, and i didnt even need my idea to begin with. what the CRAP. the show was a lot of fun regardless though. i love kicked in the head. i love how halloween is an excuse for slutty girls to dress like slutty girls. i cant even begin to express how full that place was of girls that looked like they were waiting for a porno audition. there were some clever costumes though. my favorite was the guy dressed up as a giant christmas present, with a tag on the box that said "TO: WOMEN. LOVE: GOD" aaaaaaaahahahaha he was god's gift to women. clever clever. one guy dressed up like spiderman and climbed a pole in the middle of the room. funny shit. at one point, i got twisted/squished in the crowd and hurt my back. it was painful for about a half-hour, then didnt bother me anymore. big d never fails to make me happy. although they didnt play jeremy. those bums. i made thom walk me home for the reason i stated earlier. he met katie and vee. and i introduced him to lennon. then he went home.
monday morning, i woke up and couldnt feel anything from the waist down. i was totally numb. i FREAKED OUT and thought i broke my back at the show or something, all these rational/irrational thoughts were buzzing through my mind. so i went to the hospital, which is conveniently adjacent to campus, and found out i have a pinched nerve, and inflammation between my 4th and 5th ribs on my left side. what the crap? how does one get inflammation BETWEEN the ribs?! ahh well. whatever. now i'm on a steady diet of horse-pills. and by horse pills i mean ibuprofen tablets that i have to break in half to swallow. delicious. at least my back doesnt really bother me that much anymore. now it's just a sharp pinching pain every now and then as opposed to constantly. i'll live. i always do.
monday i slept a lot. what else is new...
tuesday was the kerry rally in copley square. i went over to emerson beforehand and met thom outside the T stop. and by met thom outside the T stop, i mean i waited there for him to come downstairs, and he snuck up behind me and scared the crap out of me. on the way up to his room, he was telling me about how one of his roommate's had their girlfriend over, and how he's never seen them touch. then we walk into their suite thing, into their room, and find them cuddling on the bed. ehhh. just a little awkward. "umm hi i'm alli" "hi alli, i'm thom's roommate, and this person i'm on top of is my girlfriend." "cool TTYL ::runs and hides::". thom switched into mr. popular mode and ran around his floor talking to people and making his little rounds while i layed on his bed and played snood on my phone. i love snood. best game ever. he then comes back to fold his laundry, and just keeps throwing his clothes on top of me. weirdo. hahah. he whined about some of them being wrinkled, and i told him i'd iron his stuff for a dollar. thankfully, no ironing occurred. i'm not a fan of ironing. we left for the rally around 7:30ish. lots of swimming through the sea of people occurred. the people we were with were never really happy with where we were standing. it didnt matter to me, it's not like i could see. i hate tall people!! i hate you all!! i sat on thom's shoulders for all of 5 minutes, and it was amazing, i had 2 feet of clearance over everyoneeeee. we ended up leaving the original people we went with, and meeting up with a friend of his from back home, who was there with his friend from school. or something. anyways. we got over to the tent and went through the metal detectors so we could be in front of the stage. we were all of 40 feet from sheryl crow, 20 feet from bon fucking jovi [who covered elvis costello, and induced multiple orgasms from the crowd], and 10 feet from Edwards. i bet no one's reading this entry let alone this paragraph. so yeah. back on track for those of you still with me. cake showed up and couldnt get into where we were, he was stuck on the other side of the metal barricade. i totally got him to sneak over the fence. it was all amazing. amazingamazingamazing.
what wasnt amazing, was we waited in the snowy/rainy/sleety shit for 7 or 8 hours to see Kerry speak, then at about 2am hear that Kerry went home and the rally was over. FUCKERS!!! i was pisseddddd.
then thom was a jerk and wouldnt walk me home or anything. so cake did it. aaah how i've missed cake. on the way home, we saw a dead rat the size of a two year old child, and i went into shock. cake had to carry me away hahaha. we stopped at dunkin donuts near my campus because i hadnt eaten all day. never before did hot chocolate taste so good. and mmmmmboy, bagels are delicious too. it was 3am, and the security guard was sleeping at the desk. YESSS. I FEEL SO SECURE, SLEEPING SECURITY GAURD! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! at 5am, i noticed victoria was awake. so i visited. it was fun.
wednesday i went and saw "Birth" with victoria, heather, katie and emily. it's one of those movies that you need to have someone explain to you. thank you victoria ;o) it was a good movie, but i spent most of it saying to myself "okay this is where it's gonna start making sense. yep. after this scene. yep. ::10 minutes later:: yep. after this scene, it will start making sense....". but ehhh i'm glad i saw it. after coming home, i took a shower and went to sleep.
today was rocktoberfest. i'm sure it would have been a lot more fun had i not just woken up, and if i didnt have 20 people in my face the whole time. i was too tired for that.
and now i am in my room. my roommate is here for once, and SLEEPING! and i think in a very short while, i will follow her example and go to sleep as well. but for now, studying for cityscapes is where it's at. yo.
