Design heaven...
I have loved the look of rice lanterns, for...ever and put the idea in my 'wedding ideas'
word document for whenever that day should come.
But while cruising livejournal friends of friends
I saw some very inspiring uses for them
KIDS ROOMS!
Ahhh why haven't I thought of this earlier?
I immediatly googled 'rice lanterns' and this lovely site

came up in my search!
So many colors and sizes and great prices!
I purchased:
2 - 10in. coral lanterns, 3- 10in. white
1- 14in. lemonade yellow and 1- 18in. robins egg blue
I want to have them all arranged in the middle of Ella's bedroom ceiling.
I think they will look marvelous with her lighter pink walls and bright white furniture!
This weekend I am thinking of heading over to my nearest craft store
to pick up 4 small-medium sized canvas' and some paint and paint brushes.
In the spirit of summer to come and Ella's wooden kitchen and cute simple play food,
I want to paint a fair/food theme. The first picture I want to be some deliciously colored pie,
the second pretty pink cotton candy, the third a pitcher of lemonade and the fourth
painting either a jar of honey, jam or both!
Ahh! I can't wait to get creative this hopefully sunny weekend!
I'll have the windows open and some cheery music playing
while my lil girl and I get crafty!
