But seriously, this was such a lopsided episode, for no apparent reason. Dean leaves a half-dozen-ish bodies in his wake and Sam, once again, is knocked out and tied up. At least he could use his long legs to kick a gun out of the monologuing villain's grip. Woo.
It felt to me that there were important lines left out at the beginning and end. Dubious editing? And for pete's sake, Dean! Why is it so stinkin' hard to tell Sam you're sorry? He can apologize to everyone but his brother. I really. Don't get it.
Yes, I agree that the werewolf business with Fenrir was clumsy and waaaay off-base, and I was a little meh about the 'good' lycanthropes being all Churchie. But I sorta liked Garth (well, DJ, really) here. He brought an earnest sincerity to the part.

Was this a Sam-lighter episode because they had to plan around Sheperds birth? Because I was wondering the same thing about the lopsided-ness, and I'm a Dean!girl. Yes, they were werewolves but Sam is a freaking wall of muscle!
It could be, but last time Gen gave birth, Jared got the call, left the set and came back the next day, so he obviously didn't need a lot of time off then, so why would he need it now? I don't know, Adam Glass is one of my least favorite writers, so I guess I'm glad he didn't do much with Sam. He's probably write something weird if he did.
