There goes my hope that he might come to Germany with the Ibsen play. A pity!

Maybe eventually they will take the play back to the Donmar Warehouse. One can hope!

Are US productions of "normal" plays, i.e. not musicals, shown in London? I don't even know that.

When I hoped for Germany, I was thinking of a particular theatre festival where Sam Mendes showed some of his past BAM productions and will do so again next year.

I'm not sure if plays transfer from the US to the UK. I just assumed that since 'Creditors' was "borrowed" from the Donmar to BAM it could be done the same way for JGB. I had also heard that AR was going to be on stage in the UK maybe in the fall, but I'm not sure if it was just a rumor since no one has mentioned anything else about it.

I'm not very familiar with Sam Mendes' theatre work. I know that some of his work was/is being shown at BAM, but since I live so far away, I haven't seen any, nor will I get a chance. :(

There was a trip offered by BAM that I wanted to attend, but it was at the same time as AR's Artist Talk, so there was NO WAY that I would have missed it. It was on their website, but now I can't find it. . .

Interesting how he doesn't even look at the woman to his right when shaking her hand. Whenever I see him interacting with fans he appears to me like enduring it just somehow. He's kind, of course, but it doesn't seem to be actual fun for him.

Ha ha, I just noticed that. But he had been chatting and laughing with Alex the minute before and looking her in the eyes. He was very nice, but I do think that he was ready to go, and Rima was waiting.
