My 3 day weekend was very eventful. I made the trip to Texas and loved every minute of it. It was so good to be back in the South again...it made me a little giddy! Anyway, I got there Saturday and hung out with Kim. We got some beers and had a few (ok alot) before the show. The show was at Gruene Hall which is the oldest dance hall in Texas. Gruene seemed like a very cute small town with alot of history and I really liked it. Roger and the band put on a great show; it was very entertaining (and it helps that he's pretty hot). Kim's not too hip on country music but she enjoyed it alot too. That night we grabbed some Taco Cabana and hung out at the guys hotel room. All in all...fun night.
Sunday was really what I was most excited about and it was a blast. We floated the Guadelupe River (on tubes) and drank an unheard of amout of beer. I think we all have our battle scars b/c the river got a little rough in a few spots...but it was even more enjoyable as the day progressed (and the beer progressed). I'm pretty sure everybody got hammered and had a great time.
Monday was fairly uneventful. We had some AWESOME bbq at this place in Austin called Rudy's, and I will being going back next time I'm in Austin...yummy..! Then we left (barely) on time Monday afternoon and headed back out here.
It was a fun trip and worth my time and money. I really enjoyed Texas and will be considering a move there some time in the near future....
