Some Thoughts While Watching Season 1, Episodes 1-3 of "Pushing Daisies"

Sorry about the absence of "Things I'd Like to See Happen in 2009" yesterday, but I was tired. Any how, I received season one of Pushing Daisies on DVD for Christmas, so here are some thoughts watching the first disk.
----------
-I had somehow managed to forget just how awesome the prologue to the "Pie-lette" is.

-The Coroner (Sy Richardson) is not making enough appearances in Season 2

-The Candy Cane striped morgue never ceases to amuse me

-For some reason, the first time I watched the Season 1, I wasn't too fond of Emerson Cod (Chi McBride). Maybe it's because of Season 2 I really love the character of Emerson watching these episodes again.

-Kristen Chenoweth is awesome. Enough said.

-I actually failed to watch the "Pie-lette" when it first aired, and due to my inability to remember to do things, "Dummy" was the first episode I ever watched. After watching this episode, I was unable to see crash test dummies the same way.

-Tee-hee! Titanic allusion anyone?

-Did the janitor seen during "Hopelessly Devoted to You" in "Dummy" ever return?

-Why does everyone in this show have a messed up romance? Chuck and Ned love each other, but can't touch. Olive still loves Ned. Emerson and Simone have a weird dominance relationship. Alfredo Aldarisio loves Olive, who seems to only have acknowledged it during the end of "Bittersweets." Come on, he fixed the espresso machine. Oh yeah, and there's Vivian loving creepy Dwight Dixon who may or may not be dead.

-I'm trying to figure out where Olive got that homeopathic is related to gay people. Is there a new stereotype about gay people I missed out on? Or is she thinking that it's homopathic? Or is this like her thinking masturbation meant chewing your food?

-Poor Ned. He had a dead body in his freezer.

-I love the Winnie the Pooh allusions.

-Ned wanted to be a jedi. Sounds like good qualifications to me.

-Ned's "Choices" speech in "The Fun in Funeral" always makes me go "Aww..." on the inside.

-The end of "The Fun in Funeral" with the espresso machine also makes me go "Aww..." as well.

you suck abc, thoughts, pushing daisies
